Some of our Year 13 students, accompanied by four teachers, have just spent a busy weekend in Paris, enjoying an exciting range of activities linked to their studies. Thirty nine of our Sixth Form students, who are currently preparing for ‘A’ Levels in Media Studies or French, visited the Walt Disney Studio Park to explore some of the secrets of film production and participated in an inter-active backstage tour at Cinema Rex, Europe’s largest cinema. Here they were able to try their hand at being extras in a scene on a ship battling through a gale, an experience which proved to be a good preparation for the ferry trip home the next day!
An evening cruise on the Seine provided a chance to see Paris lit up in preparation for Christmas and many students also ventured to the top level of the Eiffel Tower.
A journey on the Paris Metro and a chance to play live music in a local café added further French ambience to an exhausting but successful weekend.
