The photograph shows Mr Nick Taunt (Head) receiving the minibus keys from Mr Andrew Neve (left), chairman of the Bishop Luffa Parents’ and Friends’ Association, watched by some of the members of the School Council.

The Association’s events are organised to raise money for the School. Regular followers of our activities will know that we pay regular donations to fund the school minibuses, counselling services and newspapers.

However, our main focus is on specific projects such as the £30,000 contribution to the recently completed extension and funding for some of the interactive white boards. Our current project is the Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) for which we have committed to pay £30,000 over two years. Please come with your friends and attend the events, for by doing so, you help to improve the school facilities for all our children.

Over the past few years, with parents' assistance we have provided finance for:

  • The Sports Hall
  • The leasing of two school minibuses
  • Bartlett Hall refurbishment including contribution to the new school sound and lighting systems
  • Library extension and resourcing
  • New Learning Support Centre and an Interactive Whiteboard to assist learning and teaching
  • The Quiet Place - a garden of reflection
  • £30,000 has recently been donated to unlock government funding which has enabled Phases 1 and 2 of a four phase building project to be completed, giving added value to pupil's education
  • This year we are contributing to the Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) which should be completed during the autumn / winter term.
