Our Art Club is flourishing and is open to all creative artists in Years 7, 8 and 9. At the first session of the term organised by Miss Sutton, there were 22 eager artists. The theme was the First Emperor's Terracotta Army - as inspired by the Exhibition at the British Museum which some of the children had seen. Lots of generals and soldiers were modelled with armour, weapons, decorative headgear and animals. Monochrome pastel studies were also drawn of the warriors' heads and birds.
Future topics include clay heads, masks, decorative tiles wtih Miss Sutton; 'Easter Island Sculptures' with Mrs Morgan; and 'Felting Fun' with Mrs Lankester.
