Again "the Choir of Bishop Luffa School provides the most magical moments in this year's series of CFT Christmas concerts", so writes Phil Hewitt, Arts Correspondent for the Chichester Observer. Sixty members of the Senior Choir, male and female, took part, singing Candlelight Carol by John Rutter, Mid Winter by Bob Chilcott and two arrangements by Huw Thomas, our Director of Music, Mary Did you Know and Calypso Carol. The sell-out audience were spellbound and responded with resounding applause. This is the 13th year that the Senior Choir has undergone this gruelling commitment on its own. They certainly demonstrated professional approach and sang beautifully. As Phil Hewitt said "the Bishop Luffa Choir.....certainly one of the most memorable things I've seen on the CFT stage this year".
My congratulations to the choir and to Mr Huw Thomas. We look forward to hearing both the Senior and Lower School Choirs at this evening's Festival of Lessons and Carols at Chichester Cathedral starting at 7.30pm.
