A 70 tonne crane lifted the roof frame off the old Gym on Wednesday and hoisted the pieces of the new Creative Arts Centre roof, ready to be fitted into place. Work progresses apace and on time. It has been surprising to watch the rate of destruction over the past four weeks, but astonishing (and a relief) to see how much of the new building is already recognizable. The photos, taken this week, show

The Creative Arts corridor looking towards Music, with openings on the right into the old Gym; the recording studio with the control room beyond; andthe old Room 17, now the builders’ yard.
