Poet and independent writer on English in education, Robert Hull led creative writing workshops in school as part of Monday’s Arts Festival activities. Year 7 pupils worked on creation myths, while Year 12 Literature students read and discussed a selection of poems from other traditions on the theme of love. At the centre of the visit was a workshop session where a group of our most talented writers from Years 7-10 solved Robert’s riddles about historic household items before generating their own responses. Their work will be gathered together into a booklet to be made available in the Library.
