Wilson House are this year's House Drama winners, a first ever win for them in the 26 years of the House Drama Festival. The audience was bowled away by the standard of acting and direction and by the sheer exuberance of our pupils, both on stage and in the audience. Guest adjudicator, Ryhs McClelland, from Chichester Festival Theatre, presented the two winning directors, Becky Lippett and Nicky Farrage with the Shippam Drama Trophey at last Thursday evening's final.
One of the key elements of the House Drama Festival is that the plays are not only performed by students but are directed by students too. The high standards that are reached are therefore all the more worthy of praise.
The Leslie Bartlett Silver Salver for 'Most Outstanding Contribution to House Drama' was presented by Mrs Furnell, Head of Drama, to this year's winner Sam Peake, 10 Sherborne.
