The under 13’s girls cricket team got off to a flying start to the season by winning three games out of three to see them through to the finals of the Regional Lady Taverners Indoor Cricket Competition.
Unfortunately due to several schools withdrawing from the competition we had to play three matches, all against Midhurst Rother Academy.
As the team consisted of a mixture of abilities, experience and have only been training for two weeks this was a great achievement. All the girls took a vital role in getting the team into the final with consistent line and length bowling and very good batting and calling between the wickets.
The team consisted of the following pupils: Jessica Warren 8 Ridgeway, Molly Summers 8 Sherborne, Emma Maynard 8 Story, Beth Carnegie 8 Sherborne, Lois Peake 8 Sherborne, Demelza Peake 8 Sherborne, Alice James 8 Wilson, Rosie Leeming 8 Wilson, Lottie Greenlees 8 King, Sophie Shergold 7 Wilson, Ellie-Mae Rich 8 Sherborne.
The finals of the competition will be played on Thursday 25th March at St Bede’s School.
