18 members of 10 Burrows joined up with Miss Hall, Miss Barr & Dr Walker to raise money for the House charity (Orphans in the Wild) and Haiti appeal. A 565m circuit around school, including the oak tree, red doors, cage, tunnel, yard and around the sports hall was negotiated by pupils in teams. The winning team completed 32 laps in 75 minutes! the combined distance of all the 6 teams over the 80 minutes was 122 laps = 68.93km or 42.7 miles!!!!!
We were helped by sunny weather, snacks and the brilliant attitude of all the pupils and staff (and Dr Walker's children!) who enthusiastically participated either by scootering or even jogging when necessary!
It is hoped that this event will raise in excess of £300.
