On Friday 3 February Bishop Luffa School Library celebrated Harry Potter Book Night by transforming the Library into Hogwarts. Our Year 7 and 8 pupils were invited to join us in activities to win points for their Hogwarts House – Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin. They took part in lessons which included Potions, Charms, Defence Against the Dark Arts and Care of Magical Creatures to win House points from the Professors by answering questions and also taking part in practical lessons such as wand duelling. Points could also be won by taking part in one of four owl races and solving riddles from the Sphinx.
A Honeydukes stall was also present where pupils could find Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans, Chocolate Frogs, Exploding Bonbons and pumpkin pasties. They were then able to sit in the Owlery and rest before taking part in the House Quiz. Hufflepuff proved they were the most knowledgeable when it came to the Harry Potter series of books but it was Gryffindor who were the overall winners with 7750 points at the end of the evening!
