Bishop Luffa were fortunate to have England’s greatest ever captain Michael Vaughan as our guest for a question and answer interview on Tuesday 2nd March.
With questions led by Eddie Borbone (10Otter), Freddie Rustell (10Ridgeway), Arran Goode (8Story), Izzy Stuart (8Ridgeway), Hugo Eade (8Wilson), Mariella Eade (7Wilson), Kai Lendrum (7Burrows) and Finn Weller (8Andrewes), Michael Vaughan gave an unforgettable inspirational interview. The former England captain gave a great insight into how he coped with the pressures and challenges of leading the different personalities within his successful Ashes winning team from 2005.
It was evident that Michael still has the incredible work ethic and drive that led him to becoming an entertaining batsman for England and Yorkshire where he scored over 16,000 first class runs. Vaughan’s response to questions surrounding the mental health challenges faced by all cricketers at this time and in particular Marcus Trescothink was very poignant and I would urge anyone facing similar challenges to watch this interview.
Thank you to everyone who watched the live stream, we hope you found it inspirational and you have a growing urge to want to pick up a cricket bat and get involved in sport. Here is a link to the interview if you missed it: https://youtu.be/l914y_pDShg
