Our A-Level Film Studies and Media Studies had the chance to experience what goes into the special effects sequences of Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters when they were visited by Amimation Director Max Tyrie. Max talked through the theory and processes of special effects and character animation through exclusive clips, industry project materials and resources (for films such as Kingsmen, The Amazing Spider-man and many more), before giving students an insight to the Creative Industry courses offered at the nearby £35m Tech Park through Chichester University. These courses include undergraduate and post-graduate qualifications in game design, effects, screenwriting and filmmaking. We look forward to connecting with Max and his team again soon and are working on taking the student to the Tech Park for an interactive industry experience day.
