
On Friday 3rd November, Jonty Parkin (12Andrewes) attended the Arkwright Award Ceremony at the Institute of Engineering and Technology in London to receive his Arkwright Scholarship from Group Captain Justine Morton OBE, Director of the Royal Air Force Charitable Trust. The scholarship will include a residential trip to RAF College Cranwell and work experience at the Royal International Air Tattoo 2018 which will be a memorable event as it marks the 100 anniversary of the RAF.
The Arkwright Scholarships Trust identifies, inspires and nurtures future leaders in Engineering, Computing and Technical Design by awarding Arkwright Engineering Scholarships, through a rigorous selection process, to high-calibre students. The Trust’s Engineering Scholarships support students through their A levels and encourage students to pursue engineering, computing or technical design at university or through a higher-level apprenticeship and to pursue careers in the field.
