On Saturday 19th November Hannah Day (10Ridgeway), Trinity Feaver (10Story), Eloise Joubert (9Burrows) and Libby Johnson (9Sherborne) competed in the intermediate girls freestyle medley at the London Aquatics Center. This is only the second time the school has qualified for the National Final.
The girls’ came second in the Sussex Swimming Championships with the 19th fastest time in the country which led them to qualifying for the National Finals. On the day the girls’ performed many personal bests in a very competitive field but finished 28th. However, the finishing position was not the measure of success for the day, the girls’ showed great resilience in a tough field, experiencing the outstanding facilities in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and a memory that will remain with the girls’ forever.
