On Sunday 16th July a group of students, parents, carers and staff from the Bishop Luffa community gathered to compete in the School’s first golf day, hosted at Portsmouth Golf Club (Crookhorn). Though the conditions were difficult it did not stop all participants from enjoying a full round of golf, scoring points on very hilly holes and also unwinding before the end of term.
A huge thank you to everyone who was involved and a special mention to Mr Jackson, Mr Ellis and Mr Blewitt for representing the teachers (no silverware this time) and to Mr Bonney for making the silverware.
Results:
- Closest to the pin - H Maxwell on the 3rd hole
- Longest drive - W Van Niekerk on the 7th hole
- Junior winner - H Maxwell (26 points)
- Overall winner - A Maxwell (28 points)
Plans are already in motion for the 2024 tournament, however if anyone is interested in supporting or helping to organise next year’s golf day please contact BlewittT@bishopluffa.org.uk, thank you.
