Bishop Luffa hosted its annual Careers Fair late last month with approximately 50 exhibitors attending. All students were given the opportunity to visit the Careers Fair throughout the day where they met and talked to a vast range of employers and education/training providers including Ernest Young, Pallant Chambers, Creations Hair and Beauty, NJS Scaffolding, Chichester Harbour Conservancy, Chichester College, Bath University, Sussex University and many more. Students asked the exhibitors lots of interesting questions about academic and vocational subjects, the benefits of studying an EPQ at Sixth Form, apprenticeships, GCSE options, recruitment processes and much more. A particular highlight with students this year were the team from Border Force, who kept the students enthralled with their interesting facts and stories. Once again, exhibitors commented on how engaged, polite and well-mannered the students were.
We would like to say a massive thankyou to all exhibitors who attended and to Contract Candles and Cove Communities Seal Bay Resort, who donated prizes.
We are always happy to hear from organisations who can offer employer experiences to students, such as work experience, employer talks, attendance at the careers fair – if any organisation would like to be involved in future careers events, please contact Mrs Hopp on hoppa@bishopluffa.org.uk
