Charity Week is a long standing Bishop Luffa event led by the Sixth Form. This year the week begins on Monday 12 March and will involve a series of lunchtime shows held in the Bartlett Hall, culminating in a whole school Fancy Dress Non-Uniform Day on Friday 16 March.
The event will help raise money and awareness for our three Sixth Form charities: Grassroots (a Christian charity that provides support for children in Tanzania and other third world countries), UNICEF (protects and defends the rights of children across the world) and The Sussex Snowdrop Trust (a local charity which provides care for families whose children are suffering from life-threatening illnesses).
Here’s what’s going to be on offer:
- Monday – Teachers Got Talent – a chance to witness teachers showing off their hidden and wonderful talents, with Mr Taunt showing his musical skills and Mr Brown rapping …
- Tuesday – Saturday Night Takeaway – be part of a game show that gives you a chance to sit back and laugh at the slapstick comedy or possibly get involved …
- Wednesday – Human Kahoot – teachers usually like to keep their cards close to their chests, but once you’re on the spot you will have to decide which of the teachers has the best kept secrets!
- Thursday – Blind Date – witness the awkward and hilarious moments on a blind date, but who will be dating who?
- Friday – Battle of the Bands – finally, the moment everyone has been waiting for – what Charity Week has been leading up to – three amazing bands perform on the Bartlett Hall stage to compete to be the best …
Each lunchtime event will cost £1 (payable on the door). Alternatively pupils can gain access to all five lunchtime events with a pre-ordered wristband for just £3 (available through Parentmail) or by via the red letterbox.
