Returning to school has meant some wonderful smells wafting around the corridors near the Food Preparation and Nutrition classrooms.
Year 10 students have been developing their Food Science knowledge based around Aeration. Over two days students cooked a variety of cakes and decorated them with the theme of ‘Easter’. The main focus of the task was to reinforce understanding of some of the changes that occur in food when exposed to processes and cooking procedures. They were all amazing!
Year 7 and 8 have also been putting their culinary skills to the test by preparing and cooking their own dishes to conclude their rotations. Well done to all the students in Food and Nutrition!
