Despite the incumbent weather on Wednesday, the Arts Faculty’s annual ‘Fruition’ event was a huge success. Over 200 pupils were involved across all Arts subjects showcasing their talents for their families and friends to enjoy. It was a busy and vibrant celebration of creativity at the school.
Throughout the evening, our audiences were able to wander through the arts spaces to experience a wide range of live performances from dance, drama and music in addition to the art exhibition, films created by our A Level and GCSE media students and the BBC Microbit robot wars!
This year we were also pleased to welcome the Design and Technology Faculty who joined us on the evening. Based in the library, staff and pupils welcomed visitors to a presentation of GCSE and A Level exam pieces.
Our Loyalty Card scheme was a hit and I am pleased to announce that the winner was Mrs Eleanor Smith, parent of Annalise Smith (7King).
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Arts Faculty team and all those involved in making this event happen, with a special vote of thanks to our wonderful PFA team for providing refreshments throughout the evening.
Miss J Lawlor, Head of Arts Faculty
