On Wednesday 11th January our Year 12 historians visited the impressive Hampton Court Palace where they walked, literally, in the footsteps of Henry VIII. The visit, undertaken to support their studies of the early and mid Tudor periods, served to immerse them in the dramatic history of this place and allowed them to experience the opulence of the Tudor court, helping to bring their studies to life. The weather was dry enough for the students to take in the extensive grounds and of course to pit their wits against each other in the famous maze!
