Holocaust Survivor Walter Kammerling today spoke to our Year 9 pupils about his experiences of the Holocaust and World War Two. The talk was complementary to the learning that Year 9 had been doing on a unit called Understanding Difference in RE. Walter’s testimony was incredibly gripping and will remain a powerful reminder of the horrors so many experienced. We are grateful to the Holocaust Educational Trust for co-ordinating the visit and we hope that by hearing Walter’s testimony, it will encourage our pupils to learn from the lessons of the Holocaust and make a positive difference in their own lives.
