Monday 4th January 2021:
School will be open for Key-worker students and students with EHCPs only. Students should arrive at their normal start times.
All students start lessons online with a whole school assembly at 9am. Normal lessons will begin at the start of period 2 (9.25am).
Consent forms for lateral flow testing are sent out, with detailed information about the testing process and how data will be stored.
Tuesday 5th – Friday 8th January:
Lessons are online at the normal times. This will include tutor time. All students should check the Google classroom for each class for further details.
Monday 11th January:
Year 13 mocks begin.
Years 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 continue to work from home.
Keyworker provision is available in school.
Details of Year 11’s return to school will be confirmed next week, as we work through the arrangements for testing.
Monday 18th January:
Hopefully all students will return to school. Again, we will work through the plans for lateral flow testing and confirm exact details next week.
Online Learning:
Mr White will be sending out a letter explaining how this will work. This will be sent to you and also to your child’s school email account.
Key-worker provision:
The delayed start to term may mean that more families need to use the provision. Mr Jackson will be sending an email to all parents and carers explaining how this provision will run: please discard if this is not relevant to you.
I wish you all a very Happy New Year, and hope that this verse will lift you as your prepare for 2021: ‘For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ Jeremiah 29:11
Yours faithfully,
Austen Hindman, Head Teacher.
