King House have just launched a fantastic fundraising event with pupils signing up to run, cycle and walk to raise money for Sarcoma UK. They have been inspired to get active by Mel de Lacy who is undertaking a big fundraising and awareness drive. Joe Clines, Kate Rowbotham and Anna Broom (all 9King) put forward the idea as Kate's mother works with Mel and after hearing about Mel's #LetMeBeMe campaign wanted to get involved.
Jake Farquhar (9King) and Liam Holcroft (9King) have already completed a 30 mile bike ride up the Trundle and over the next few weeks each individual effort will be added up to see how far the pupils, as a team, have travelled.
Chichester Park Run are also helping out by encouraging pupils and students to take part in their free weekend runs.
The Chichester Observer recently came in to speak with the pupils and their interview can be found at https://www.chichester.co.uk/news/video-luffa-pupils-back-mel-s-sarcoma-campaign-1-8481070
