
Jonty Parkin (12Andrewes) continues to enjoy the benefits of his Arkwright Scholarship and recently visited College Hall Officer’s Mess in RAF Cranwell on a three day residential. The Royal Air Force are a long-term supporter of the Arkwright Engineering Scholarships and this course was aimed at Scholars who have a keen interest in aeronautical engineering and careers in the Royal Air Force. The residential visit included a tour of RAF College Cranwell, examination of a Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft at RAF Coninsgby and a guided tour of historic aircraft.
Jonty has also visited The National Radio Centre at Bletchley Park for an Arkwright Radio Experience and Communication Day. The event included the opportunity to take his Foundation Licence, a nationally-recognised exam in radio communications, which Jonty passed.
