On Thursday 22nd June, 48 students from Years 9, 10 and 12 left late in the evening to travel to Paris.
We went straight to Disney on Friday morning and stayed until the fireworks at 11pm! There were lots of smiles, despite the lack of sleep!
On Saturday we went to a Hypermarket to buy lunch, then climbed the 270 steps to the top of the Arc de Triomphe, went to the Musée d’Orsay to see some of the famous Impressionist art work, meandered through the Jardin de Tuileries, and went to see the sun setting over famous Parisian landmarks from the top of the Tour Montparnasse. We cooled off in the evening, down by the lake at the hotel, watching fireworks in the distance. The Year 12 students toured Paris away from the main group, visiting Sacré Coeur, experiencing the Metro and seeing Les Invalides amongst others.
On Sunday, we enjoyed a boat trip down the Seine (in 32-degree heat!) to see the main sights of Paris before our journey home.
Thank you to all of the students for being so enthusiastic all weekend and for the teachers who made this trip possible.
