Dear families and friends of Bishop Luffa School,
We have had a lovely Advent and I hope that you have heard about some of the events that we’ve held, such as our House Christmas Dinners, celebration assemblies, the Sixth Form Ball and the annual Ridgeway Reindeer Run. These events have raised hundreds of pounds for three charities: Stone Pillow, The Sussex Snowdrop Trust and Chestnut Tree House hospice. Take a look at our newsletter to see what else has been going on in School this half term.
Every year I look forward to the Christmas production at the Festival Theatre, and this year I was amazed to see how many of the actors and technicians were either past or present Bishop Luffa students – 37 in total! If you are able to see ‘The Wizard of Oz’ before it closes, it will instantly put you in the festive mood.
As well as all of this celebrating and fund-raising, we have also been thinking about the central message of Christmas. I hope that all of you are able to find time for yourselves over the holiday and that you can find comfort knowing that, at Christmas, ‘the people who walked in darkness have seen a great light’.
Merry Christmas,
Austen Hindman, Head Teacher
