Bishop Luffa’s Sports Day was back and was hotly contested as usual. It was great to see all the House banners, t-shirts and face paints to celebrate and support students' Houses.
Two individual Sports Day records were broken on the day, Amelie McGurk (10Ridgeway) in the 300m and DJ Bathe (12Burrows) in the 100m, as well as eight students winning three or more individual events.
Sports Day 2021 was a significant moment for our community to unite and celebrate sport as well as demonstrating great spirit, sportsmanship and determination. The House winners after the results have been finalised are:
- Year 7 - King
- Year 8 – Andrewes
- Year 9 - King
- Year 10 – Burrows
- Sixth Form - Burrows
- Sports Day – Burrows
The School Games final standings which include points from all interhouse events competed in from the academic year are:
- 1st – Burrows 293
- 2nd – Ridgeway 282
- 3rd – King 219
A small video of the day can be viewed at https://youtu.be/XLSUbeYJfiU. Thank you to Mia Wilson (13Burrows) for putting this together for us.
