On Wednesday 17 May the school attended a prestigious awards ceremony at Holland Park School in London, hosted by SSAT - the Schools, Students and Teachers Network.
After Headteachers and school leaders discussed and tussled with three strategic topics; curriculum and assessment, teacher workload and funding it was time for the prize giving.
I am delighted to say that through the hard work of pupils and staff the school received not one but two awards:
- In the top 10% of non-selective schools nationally for student attainment in the 2016 end of KS4 exams (GCSEs)
- In the top 20% of schools nationally for student progress in the 2016 end of KS4 exams (GCSEs)
The awards not only recognise last year's Year 11 GCSE results but also the outstanding progress many of them made since joining the school in Year 7.
Mr Nick Taunt, Headteacher
