On the evening of May the 4th (of course) Bishop Luffa School Library was transformed into the cargo deck of a Star Wars Imperial cruiser and intrepid teams of rebel alliance supporters had to board the ship for a secret mission. They were tasked with working as a team to solve a series of fiendish puzzles in just 20 minutes in order to reveal the plans to the Death Star and transmit them back to the Rebel Alliance. Teams collaborated brilliantly to meet challenges such as finding keys, decoding a puzzle made of coloured lights, working out the combination number of a locked box and realising they needed to link hands to complete a copper circuit. Meanwhile waiting rebels had the chance to hone their lightsaber skills courtesy of Scott from Chichester Akido Club, design Lego droids and demonstrate their Star Wars knowledge in a picture quiz. Prizes were given to the quiz winners and for the best fancy dress, which went to Ethan Mansfield and Arthur Hansen 7Otter as quite uncanny Jawas – complete with glowing eyes!
