Yesterday the Digital Leaders and the STEM Club attended Chichester College’s STEMFest with Mrs Williams and Mrs Cardus. The aim of the event was to inspire and encourage the scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians of the future, and it certainly did!
There were exciting hands-on experiences of the latest innovations in science and technology, including wheel changes, recycling and sustainability challenges, discovering crime scenes, virtual reality, augmented reality and physics workshop.
Dougal Rattray (8King) said, "I really enjoyed making the robot out of components” and Evan Williams (8Wilson) was equally enamoured with the day "I now want to get into soldering more things, and will be looking into getting a kit.” It was great to see the college students running all the stands and see them working together with our younger pupils.
