On Friday 21st May the world celebrated World Culture Day and Sherborne House looked to recognise this occasion as part of our House charity event. This provided Bishop Luffa with an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the values of cultural diversity.
Each tutor group was assigned a particular culture to explore during tutor time and artistically represent this to the remainder of the school through a decorated door competition. Pupils were also allowed to wear a top representing an aspect of their researched culture on the day for a small donation to Feeding Futures – the Sherborne House charity that raises money for development projects in rural Kenya.
Pupils took part in a school wide vote to determine the overall winning tutor groups in categories of both creativity and enlightenment. Congratulations to the winners 7Andrewes representing China and 9Andrewes representing Sweden.
