24 Sixth Formers have just returned from a ten day trip to Mbeya, Tanzania supporting the work of The Grassroots Trust. After a long journey they were greeted with great enthusiasm by the local children. During their time in Mbeya they helped with the feeding and milk programme, delivered chickens to the local community, registering new children onto the programme and handed out woollen hats (made by the parents and grandparents) and quilts. A church service (very lively), football and netball matches gave the students time to have fun with the children.
During their time in Africa the students put together a blog – it makes fantastic reading and gives a real insight into the work that they undertook https://bishopluffatanzania2018.wordpress.com
Thanks go to Mr Goldsmith, Mr Thomas, Mr Owen and Mrs Wilburn for making this trip possible.
