To celebrate European Day of Languages on the 26th September, Year 7 were asked to bake a cake or biscuits with a European theme. The inaugural Great Bishop Luffa European Bake Off demonstrated some serious skill by our talented pupils. No two cakes were the same and many came with cards explaining the recipe or information about the cake or biscuits. The standard of entries was extremely high and the thought, creativity and love that went into each of them was amazing. We had 40 entries and they were judged by parents and pupils at our Open Evening. Well done to all pupils who took part- simply stunning work!
The winning cake was made by Amélie Berry (7Wilson) with her French themed masterpiece. 2nd place was Eli Stisted (7Borrows) with his European Union cake (filled with smarties in the middle!) and 3rd place was a French macaron cake made by Grace Bishop (7Otter)
