Hundreds of friends, family and parishioners recently gathered at Chichester Cathedral to watch 40 people being awarded the Order of St Richard. Dr Martin Warner, the Bishop of Chichester, admitted the 40, from all areas of the diocese, to the Order of St Richard. They received a certificate signed by the Bishop, a bespoke medal to be worn on special occasions and a lapel badge that can be worn at all times. We are delighted that three of the recipients have links to Bishop Luffa School.
Margaret Lumley, one of our Directors, was put forward for her involvement with schools and forging links with overseas churches and many years of tireless, devoted service within her village church (St Andrew’s Tangmere), parish, diocese and wider community.
Rachel Moriarty, a former Bishop Luffa Director, was recognised for her years of devoted and unstinting service in her many roles within Chichester Cathedral, and for her work as a member of deanery, diocesan and general synod.
Mary Nagel, another former Bishop Luffa Director, was another recipient of The Order of St Richard.
