Year 10 have been posing their most difficult questions to Reverend Tim Ward this week in RE as part of their GCSE work looking at the issues around good, evil and suffering. Pupils asked why evil exists, if God is all loving why do people suffer, should the death penalty be used as a deterrent, can someone be purely good or evil, what does the local church do to help those in need and does love conquer all? The answers Tim gave helped broaden pupils understanding of the complexity surrounding these fundamental ethical and philosophical questions and will help them when they come to sit their GCSE exams next summer. Thank you to Reverend Tim Ward for coming in to visit Year 10.
