At the start of July we were delighted to welcome the Year 6 students who will be joining us in September to spend the day with us.
Mr Hindman was particularly impressed with how well they all joined in during their first Luffa assembly. There is already a feeling of warmth and togetherness, which bodes well for the future. They appear to have had a great day, with the sample Science lesson the highlight for many of them.
Jack, in Ridgeway, said it was great to use new equipment and the ‘snakes’ they created were clearly a hit. Layla and Sofia, in Story, said that meeting each other was the best part of their day, and many students also commented that they had made new friends, very quickly, and they were so pleased that everyone was so kind.
We can’t wait for them to join us for their first day at secondary school on Monday 4th September.
