The Geography Department recently set our Year 7s the challenge of creating a UK landscape…in a shoe box! They could choose from any of the famous and not-so-famous- landscapes in our own country. We had everything from Durdle Door in Dorset to Loch Ness and its famed ‘monster’.
Not only did they have to recreate their landscape in cardboard, paint, pebble, sand (you name it, they used it!), we also wanted them to include some research answering the key Geographical questions of what, where and why. The creativity of our students blew us away and it was humbling to see so much talent on show.
We hope you’ll agree with us…the future of Geography looks bright!
