What is Andrewes House like?

We like to think of Andrewes as being a large family. Pupils feel there is a strong sense of unity within the House and that this has led to a great team spirit which has brought the House together and enabled us to achieve a lot of success both in inter-house competitions and in things like charity fund-raising activities.

There is a wide range of talent within the House. As well as outstanding academic achievements, pupils are excelling in music, art, drama and a wide variety of sports. Particular mention must go to Sophie and Amy Brown who have represented Great Britain in Junior Team Gymnastics, winning the European Championships in 2013.

Andrewes 2

This year we had great success wining Sports Day and the overall Inter-House Sports trophy (for the third year running). Andrewes House also made the final of House Drama. This epitomises the sense of unity within the House and shows what we can achieve when we all pull together.

Our House Charities are Diabetes UK and The Sussex Snowdrop Trust. These deserving causes were both chosen by the pupils in response to the needs of some of their peers in the house, another example of how we like to support each other in Andrewes.
