NPQs

At Bishop Luffa School we are pleased to be a delivery partner for National Professional Qualifications for the National Society for Education.

We currently offer the following NPQs:

 

  • NPQSL (Senior Leadership)
  • NPQH (Headship)
  • NPQSENCO (Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators)

NPQ Information:                                                 

Applications are now open for NPQ cohort 10, which will commence in Autumn 2026.  

Leadership courses (NPQH, SL, and SENCO) will close on 6th November 2026.  

We expect demand to be high this year so we may close early if we have allocated all our funded places.  This will be the only funded cohort this academic year (there will be no Spring Cohort in 2027).

 

The application process:

 

Step 1 - Register with the DFE

To confirm your eligibility to complete an NPQ, you should first complete the Department for Education online registration process.  

Please note: You will need to select ‘The Church of England’ as your chosen provider.   

You can only register with the DFE once so please choose carefully from the list of lead providers given.

Step 2 - Complete your Application Form

Once you have been validated by the DfE, you will automatically receive our application form via email. Sometimes this does appear in the junk/spam folder, so please keep an eye out for it.  

You can begin completing the form as soon as you receive this. The form will be relatively straight forward, asking your personal details as well as details of your school. It is very important that these are accurate as we will use these to maintain contact with you.  

 

Step 3 - Sponsor Endorsement

Finally, on this form, you will also be asked to input your sponsor’s details. This is typically the Headteacher. Once you have submitted your form, they will receive the sponsor form to complete.  Once you submit your form, your part of the process is complete. Our team will look over your application and you will hear from us in due course regarding the status of your application.
