A Luffa Supreme's First Public Gig

Bishop Luffa School's award-winning 10-piece jazz combo, A Luffa Supreme, played its first public concert in August at the Chichester Jazz Festival. The band, whose name is a play on words of the classic John Coltrane album, A Love Supreme, opened the gig on 27th August at the New Park Cinema. Their set featured the tunes, Caravan, which won them a silver award in the UK Schools Music Festival, The End of a Love Affair, Stolen Moments and Strasbourg St Denis. 

The band received lots of credits and positive comments from professional jazz musicians, who also played at the festival.
