National Poetry Day Celebrations
As part of our National Poetry Day celebrations, students took part in an exciting inter-house poetry competition, showcasing their creativity, confidence and love of language. Points earned through this competition contribute to each House’s overall total throughout the academic year, as the Houses compete to be awarded the prestigious Sherlock Cup for Creative Writing at our final assembly of the year. Every point counts, and it is wonderful to see such enthusiasm and House spirit! Prizes and certificates will be awarded in House Presentation Assemblies in December.

At our Open Evening, we were delighted that Year 6 visitors joined in our National Poetry Day celebrations by taking part in a special Haiku Competition. We received some wonderful creative entries, and congratulations go to our four winners! It was lovely to see our prospective students embracing the challenge and sharing their enthusiasm for poetry. Prizes and certificates will be posted to their primary schools – a huge well done to all!
