Bishop Luffa receives West Sussex Democracy Award

Following on from the huge whole school engagement in voting and democracy this academic year, Bishop Luffa School was privileged to again receive recognition from West Sussex County Council. In July we were invited to join the awards ceremony at The Assembly Rooms in Chichester.

Lexi Carbarns (11King), our West Sussex Youth Cabinet member, received the award on behalf of our school. This award is given to celebrate “Youth Voice, Leadership and Political Literacy”.

We are very grateful to Mrs Smerdon-Corp for organising this opportunity for our students through our PSHE curriculum. Our thanks also go to Lexi, for continuing to represent the views of young people in our local area.
