Greenpower Team Secures International Finals Place

Our School Greenpower team Midlands Heat had an exciting and successful race day at Mallory Park on the 24th September, securing an impressive third-place podium finish and, with it, a place in the Greenpower International Finals!

The team travelled up the evening before the race, staying overnight at a local hotel so they could be fresh and ready for an early start on race day. After a full breakfast, the team made their way to Mallory Park, where they quickly got to work setting up their pit area and preparing the car for the day's racing.

The morning began with practice laps, giving the team valuable time to assess the car and make adjustments to the set-up before the competitive races began. With the team working together to fine-tune the car and strategy, they were ready for the challenge ahead. The day consisted of two 1.5-hour races, providing plenty of excitement, teamwork and opportunities to put their preparation to the test. After a fantastic day's racing, Midlands Heat crossed the finish line to secure an excellent 3rd-place podium finish. This result also means that the team has now qualified for the Greenpower International Finals, which will take place on the 18th October 2026 at Goodwood Racecourse.

There is now a busy couple of weeks ahead. The team will be working hard to make a few final tweaks and improvements to the car, with the aim of gaining that extra edge before heading to Goodwood.
