Checkmate to another great year ahead!

Chess Club has started with a bang this year including a huge influx of new players in Year 7, developing a vibrant community of strategic thinkers and enthusiastic players of all skill levels.

Members meet every Tuesday and Thursday lunch time to sharpen their tactics, learn new strategies, and enjoy some friendly competition. Players learn about patience and developing critical thinking skills that help both on and off the chessboard.

Over the course of the year we hope to enter some tournaments against other schools and build on our success in 2025.

Congratulations to all the members and to Isaac McDonald in Year 12 for making the Chess Club such a welcoming and inspiring space. Checkmate to another great year ahead!
