Inspirational Theatre

The drama department have been fortunate to attend two productions at Chichester Festival Theatre this half term. On the first trip the Sixth Form attended a remarkable production of Hamlet which included a pre-show talk. Students were able to learn about how the different theatre makers worked toward their vision to make a truthful and honest interpretation of the text.

The second trip was for GCSE and A’ Level Drama students to see an imaginative retelling of The Lord of the Flies. This again, was a stunning piece of theatre and all of the students felt that it provided excellent material for answering their Live Production exam questions. What a wonderful way to celebrate the start of a new year in drama with such inspirational theatre right on our doorstep.
