Celebrating National Volunteer Day

On Wednesday afternoon, Mrs Pegg and myself had the privilege of being invited to Lakeview Grange Care Home to celebrate the fantastic volunteering work done by three of our Bronze DofE students  Sophie, Liz and Evie. It was lovely hearing from the staff and residents about how much energy and joy the girls brought to the care home during their time there. The girls spent time with the residents playing games, organising activities, reading, looking through family photographs and learning lots about their lives and this is such an important part of life within the care home. It was also pleasing to hear that they are going back over the Summer and at Christmas to help with events within the care home. Well done for making such an important difference within our community.
