Interhouse Summer Writing Competition
Our KS3 students were invited to take part in the Summer Writing Competition, by choosing one of the following topics:
“The Summer That Changed Everything” Write a short story about a summer where something unexpected reshaped a character’s future.
“Heatwave” Write a story set during an extreme summer heatwave - it can be realistic or dystopian.
“One Perfect Summer Day” Write a story or descriptive piece that captures a single perfect summer day - from sunrise to sunset. It could be peaceful, chaotic, funny, or bittersweet, but focus on vivid sensory detail (sounds, smells, heat, light).
