I grew up in north Wales and read law at Oxford before practicing for nine years as a lawyer in London. After two years working for the Church of England, I joined the John Lewis Partnership in 2007. After operational roles in shops from Chichester to Nottingham, and in head office, I now do an independent "critical friend" role focussed on ensuring that the Partnership's culture, governance and distinctive character remain vibrant and relevant.
