To celebrate Bishop Luffa School's 60th Anniversary, the Arts Faculty are proud to invite you to share in our revival of the school's own adaptation of Lewis Carroll's classic novels, Alice! The Musical, a production first performed at the school in 1988. Written by the then Head of English and Drama, Mr Barry Smith and with music written especially for us by David Glasson, a long-time associate of the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, playing with original band members since the late 1960s, and currently performing as the BonzoBills, the show will take you into the wonderfully weird world of wonderland where 'Most everyone's mad'.
In tackling the piece for our 60th anniversary, we are taking a journey back in time with all the influences of the 1960's - a time when the weird and the wonderful was wholly embraced by artists such as Andy Warhol.
For the 60th anniversary we wanted to do something special, so we are so delighted that Barry has given us the opportunity to breathe new life back into this play, and bring it back to the stage! For 2024, we are going big, hosting a four-night run, with an additional matinee performance for primary schools.
Tickets can be purchased by visiting Bishop Luffa School or through Arbor.
We are really looking forward to sharing our boldest show yet with you, so book your tickets now!
