As part of our Remembrance Day preparations my classes in Year 10 and 11 designed and made their own personalised poppies. The students were able to engrave family member’s names onto their poppies along with pictures to help make them extra special.
The learning opportunities came from using 2D Design software, laser cutting the pieces, learning about thermo and thermosetting plastics and engraving. The students thoroughly enjoyed making them and they were able to show off their designs, which they proudly wore at the school service on Friday 10th November.
